Fairways, Founders, and Philanthropy: The Placentia Rotary’s Inaugural Golf Tournament

There is a specific reason why Placentia remains one of the most desirable pockets of North Orange County: The people here show up for one another.

As a Board Director for the Placentia Rotary Club and a member for nearly a decade, I’ve seen our community rally many times. But this February, we are taking it to the next level. We are officially kicking off the Inaugural Rotary Golf Tournament at Alta Vista Country Club, and the support from our local business community has been nothing short of legendary.

• Scholarships: Awarded annually to graduating seniors at El Dorado, El Camino Real, and Valencia High Schools to support the next generation of leaders.

• The Blessing Boxes: We maintain and restock the honor-system food pantries at Koch, Kraemer, McFadden, and Parque de Los Niños.

• Crisis Relief: Partnering with H.I.S. House OC, Lot 318 and the Placentia PD/Fire to provide food, school supplies, baby supplies, and emergency support for local families.

• Youth Leadership: Sponsorship of the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) and support for local high school Interact Clubs.
