For years, 1855 Ferrington was more than just an address; it was a vibrant family hub where two daughters grew up, where memories were made by a sparkling pool and spa, and where a versatile loft space housed dreams and possibilities. This wasn't just a house; it was a sanctuary with a low-maintenance backyard perfect for entertaining, complete with a built-in BBQ, firepit, and even a dog run. It was a place designed for living, boasting 2,582 square feet of comfortable space, a 3-car garage, and ample storage for every season.
The incredible couple who called this house home raised their daughters here, saw them off to college, and celebrated as both found their life partners. The ultimate joy arrived with the pitter-patter of tiny feet—their first grandchild. Now, as they approach their 36th wedding anniversary this September, they've embarked on an exciting new adventure: building their dream home in Idaho, where their love story will continue to unfold into retirement.

My relationship with this wonderful family began in June 2024 when I helped their daughter and son-in-law sell their Placentia, CA home as they made their own move to Idaho. That experience resulted in multiple offers and their home going Under Contract in just 4 days with an incredible $37,000 over the asking price! It was during that time, as Mr. helped load their trailers, that we shook hands. He told me, "Someday, when I'm ready to sell my home, I'll introduce you to my wife."
Fast forward to March of this year, and that promise came true. His wife called, and we met for lunch. We quickly became friends, and the conversation naturally turned to their evolving needs. They had visited their daughter and son-in-law in Idaho, toured a new development, and fallen in love with the idea of a brand-new home there.
On May 16th, we officially launched 1855Ferrington.com to the market. With strategic marketing and packed open houses, we once again saw incredible interest. Just like their daughter's home, this property was Under Contract in a remarkable 4 days with multiple offers, closing an impressive $20,000 over the asking price!
While the initial results were fast, this transaction presented unique challenges. The buyer was selling their house, and that buyer was also selling their home—a complex "chain" of transactions. When the second down-leg in this chain unexpectedly fell out of escrow, our entire deal was on the brink of crumbling.
This is where true advocacy and expertise come into play. Through persistent communication, unwavering pressure, and a lot of prayer, we kept the deal together. It took a little longer to close, but my commitment to my clients didn't stop there. I successfully negotiated a free rent-back period, providing them with crucial flexibility and peace of mind. This meant they weren't rushed into temporary housing while construction on their new Idaho home is completed, allowing for a smoother transition into their well-deserved retirement chapter.
